Friday Foto Finish Fiesta

Here you go Carrie. Wish I could just hang around all day like these guys. Until the kid in the blue shorts tried to pry them off the rock. What a tool that kid is going to grow up to be.

Dontcha feel sometimes that life is like clinging to the rock against the pounding waves?

The beach is a place where a man can feel - he's the only soul in the world that's real....

Ah, what I wouldn't give to live near the beach instead of land-locked Indiana! Love the quote!

Sigh...I love the beach.

I've never seen a real live starfish like that before. It looks like he was a big one!

As Heather said, I've never seen a starfish like that--one living, that is. Oh the beach...it's where I long to be, and more than one week out of the year!

We have a large purple starfish on the BC coast called a Pisaster.

I wonder if The Who could have worked in a line about 'Natural Pisasters' when Jimmy was sleeping on the beach?

That pic is awesome! I've seen your name all over the place, so I'm glad I finally stumbled on your site. Very pretty! :-)

Is it horrible I also called the kid in the blue shorts a tool out loud as well?

That starfish looks like how I feel some days!! VERY cool pic!!

That's a great comparison, for better or worse. The starfish doesn't look too happy about it in that shot, though, so I guess that makes it a sad one.

Love the starfish photo! The second photo looks like the perfect beach to play "From Here to Eternity" you know like the movie...you lie in the sand embracing your SO and the waves crash over you...very romantic.

WOW! I have never seen a real starfish. That is so cool.

That is a great picture! BTW, I am liking your new look - this is my first time seeing it. You've probably had it for like 10 weeks or something. It looks great!

Is that Leo Carillo? One of my favorite beaches and a place where tenter and I go camping ALL THE TIME!
When kids grab starfish I feel like smacking them! And their idiot parents that don't tell them to stop

Swirl Girl said...

Yes insane ma'am. That is Leo Carillo State Park!

Maybe we've seen each other there before and didn't even know it!

I was just there last weekend, too!

such a neat analogy because, yes, there are days that I feel like I'm hanging on there's some tool trying to pry me off to knock me back into the surf. gorgeous pic, too
