You do The Hokey Pokey and Your Turn Yourself About

this is what it's all about!....

My mom bought this skirt for Rachel months ago. It has a little mechanism in an inside pocket that plays the Hokey Pokey. Rachel didn't touch the thing (sorry mom) until just last week...now it's endless Hokey Pokey in this house. We're running out of solid shirts to match the polka dots. We get lots of big smiles from people wherever we go. And just look at the kid's face. That's what it's all about! This is good 'til the next bright shiny object twitters by.

PS - - One evening as we were buckling Rachel and her Hokey Pokey skirt into her carseat she says "Owee, you just got my hokey pokey box caught in the buckle! Hubby and I cracked up wondering if she had any idea that she just created a new euphamistic expression for ...her old euphamistic expression.

I used to love to do the Hokey Pokey. The skirt is adorable, and so is she. Stop by and enter our Give Aways.

I totally NEED one of those! Imagine how happy your day (and those around you) could be. If you have a down moment, just squeeze your skirt and you have a song! Do they make them in my size??

Very cute, and very entertaining for you!

Is it wrong that I already googled that, and checked to see if they had it in adult sizes? I am all for anything with a fun hokey pokey box:)

What a smart idea to put the song into the skirt. Annoying I would guess after awhile, but smart

I want a skirt that plays music whenever I twirl about. But can mine be "I'm A Little Teapot?" That would rock!

Too cute...too fun. And yes, her hokey-pokey getting "caught" is now going to be my new favorite saying.

What if that really is what it's all about?! And do they make that skirt in my size?

And who is this Mary Tyler Moore of whom you spoke?...... :)

There's an award waiting for you on my blog if you'd like to pop on over an pick it up.

I enjoy your blog and think you deserve it.

As for the Hokey Pokey, I keep thinking about being at a Roller Rink birthday party and doing that dance on skates and thinking we were all so cool.

and, not an . . . got a little too excited thinking about the Hokey Pokey and I turned myself around:-)

Yeah--of course I'm kidding! I was only born in the 70's, but Nick at Night in the 80's was all about MTM. I honestly have never seen an episode of Rhoda--though I'm at least familiar with her and her headscarf!

If we're going into retro-TV sets--I always loved all the wicker and houseplants on Three's Company :)!

A hokey pokey skirt!! After the first 10 rounds of hearing it, I would have to disconnect it. PRONTO! As in, "Sweetie, I'm not sure why it doesn't work anymore;)"

I have a Hokey Pokey shirt that I wear when I'm feeling philosophical. It says, "What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?"

The Hokey Pokey Box? Great. Now the spammers have another way to get through my filters.

Okay, when I read your P.S. I had just taken a swig of lemonade and it almost found an alternate path out my nostrils. That was hilarious. And to answer your question about the hairy man post, no, its not my man...ick.

Ooooo...I hate it when your hokey pokey box gets caught in the buckle. That's rough!! I've seen those skirts and always thought they were sooooo cute!!

I love it! And I love your comment from Debbie's blog...I think you really should rename your blog "swirl girl unfurled..."

That skirt is adorable, even without knowing it had a music boz inside. Hilarious comment by your daughter though. hehe

Have you seen those bumper stickers that say, "The Hockey Pokey IS what's it's all about" or something like that.
