Blog Graffiti

I've been tagged again. This time by Amelia Bedelia. And the only reason I am doing this again is because, well aside from loving her the tales of the bumbling maid Amelia Bedelia as a girl , Amy has the nicest smile on the web!

Even though I have done this before- my job here is to list some stupid facts about myself. I have no issue coming with a ton of these...so if you are new around here , hang on- I hope I can stop at just 6.

1. I have no pinkie toe nails. Just little slits of skin-type substance where a nail should be. Never had them, never did. I could lie and say I was the victim of some industrial accident, or I donated them because nobody wanted my overly used liver...but alas, just mutant toe nails on otherwise perfectly cute feet.

2. I can watch eleventy five hours of t.v in a row and not pay attention to one commercial. I literally get all glazed over and although it seems I am watching, I am not. Yet, I can sing the jingle of just about every product that has ever had a jingle written for it.

3. I prefer powdered non-dairy creamer in my coffee. Don't know why, but I'd rather put in the shaved styrofoam at room temperature, than real cream from the fridge. (cold stuff into hot stuff? What's the point of that?) The shit has the half life of Uranium, is probably carcinogenic, and not even a real food type substance - But I love it my java so there.

4. I'd rather have 40 bites of 40 different things than 40 bites of one thing. Tapas and sushi were made just for me. I also like the confluence (big $10 word there) of texture and flavor when I eat. I think hot buttered popcorn is perhaps the perfect junk food. Salty, creamy, crunchy. That or anything from the 'toes group = chee, fri, dori and pota!

5. For years - and I mean until I was in college ...I swear I thought the Deep Purple song "Smoke on the Water" was really ...Smoke Covered Worm Turd. Really. Get off the floor and stop laughing.

6. Every day in the shower, when the glass walls are all steamed up, I draw either a little smiley face or press little footprints (with my fists and little toes, too) in the steam. Hubby sees the 'graffiti' and assumes it's one of the girls.

Toldja stupid was easy for me.

I am supposed to do the following...but this little thing has been back and forth on these boards faster than the spin on an Olympic Ping Pong ball - and I can't remember who has done it and who hasn't...so will the following bloggy men and women please approach the podium and accept your medals?
Miss Blondie -good golly
Mama Dawg because she needs new blogs to read, and mine is here for her.
Trooper Thorn because his Olympic coverage is epic and a must read.

Rules of the game:
1. Link the person who tagged you (check)

2. Mention the rules on your blog (check)

3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours (check , check)

4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them & leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they have been tagged. (slight dedection from the Swedish judge)

I'm sorry, I barely got past the toenail thing - how horrific! You poor thing, I hope that this disability has not damaged your quality of life?

My friend Bunny has the most disgusting two toes joined together. Seriously, no seam, no slit, nothing. It is hideous and I have to endure days at the beach with her.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday!

What a small world that you used to live in Olney. Long ago, I used to work in Olney....that was way back before kids! Then we moved across the country.

We had just moved back to Maryland when the Sniper attacks were going on....I was wondering what in the world we had gotten ourselves into!

For real...I have never heard anyone misinterpret Smoke On the Water. This is truly fantastic--I can't wait to tell everyone I know.

I think you just trumped what used to be my favorite misheard lyric...one of my BFFs in high school used to sing INXS's Suicide Blonde, and her version was, "You wanna make a soup & salad bar..."
Kid you not.

Have you ever seen that book where they list popular "misunderstood" lyrics? It's so funny. Things like Smoke on the Water and the classic "Excuse me while I kiss this guy".

I'll do it and have it posted for Saturday. I got a guest blogger tomorrow and I don't want to upstage her with my incredibly witty and weird things about me.

You understand, right?

ok - so you were my best bud back in the day...how many endless hours did we spend listening to music together? yet i don't think i EVER knew how you so grossly misinterpreted those lyrics. i think i am honestly shocked!

Smoke Covered Worm Turd? What? You mean they weren't singing that.

Now when I hear that song that is what I'll be singing--no thanks to you!

Well since you brought the toenail thing up, may I ask a follow up? When you pedicure, do you leave them blank or just fake it? I'm so fascinated by this .. partially because I am totally in love with weird body stuff, and the other part (the part making it hard to type) would be the vodka hubs slipped in my Sprite. Okay, okay .. he didn't slip it, I asked for it.

As for the powedered coffee creamer .. I used to eat it straight from the container as a kid. L.O.V.E.D it .. luckily no one in our house drinks coffee, or I'd still be eating it...

I'm behind...waaaay behind...but had to stop in to vigorously shake my head in agreement to items 3 and 4. I currently have a ginormous 8-pack of N-Joy coffee creamer from Costco in my pantry. If I use cream from the fridge, my coffee is cold before I get to work; with the powdered modified milk solids? hot till I've got my PC and email fired up.

Very funny! I found you via SITS and love your blog! I too like non-dairy creamer in my coffee and feel very odd about putting cold milk in my coffee. When in a lurch,I will warm up milk in the microwave just to pour it into my hot java.
