The One in Which She Wonders ...Is This Thing On??

...cuz I haven't had a lot of visitors these past few weeks. (read: weak posts?)

And Blogger's been sending me all kinds of warnings and Mission Aborted messages when I try to click on some of my regular reads. Maybe the same is happening when regular readers are clicking on me...so they are staying away. Certainly it can not be an indication of my crappy reads lately...Nyahhh. Must be you guys.

Anywho....you want random? You got random.

This is happening and this is big, big, bloggy BIG!

This is happening and this is big, big, bouncy BIG!!

This really happened and it was big, big, Big Bird BIG!! Early Sunday morning, we woke to a thunk. A really loud one. Kid falling out of bed? Minor earthquake? Suction cup of shower squeegie holder un-suction cupped? Nope. Bird being chased by a hawk hits our sliding glass doors followed by the hawk chasing the bird slamming himself wings first into the window. Yes! We have feathers , beak scratch and two little claw prints to prove it! I don't think the hawk got it's breakfast, though...we didn't find any 1/2 eaten bird bits around. I tried to get pictures but they didn't come out clear enough.

The girls took me to see "Up" this weekend. Love, love, loved it! A real story and message behind this film. It's a pleasure to see anything made by those Pixar geniuses. The short film at the beginning was so clever and creative. (can you smell Oscar?) My girls really enjoyed the movie as well. There was one part, though - when the little one totally freaked out. There was a scene where the villian sets the main characters' house on fire . Rachel jumps on to my lap and is wailing "oh no, his house, his memories - where's he gonna live? How's he gonna remember?" She got over it quite quickly, but I found it odd and kind of endearing that she had such compassion and empathy for this 3-D cartoon character. Such a big, big, big heart.

...and I am in the process of putting together Swirl Girl's first ever give-away which is going to be big, big, buzzing BIG ...so tell all of your friends to come visit me {sic} again

A few times I've had trouble when I clink on someone's blog, the sidebars and header will come up, but not their posts. I don't know what the hellamundo is up with that, but I try to read and comment all the time. Promise. Cause I love you and your pretty.

Now, do I win the give-away?

Can't wait to see UP. It's a little tricky to see 'kid' movies without kids, but I usually just nab a couple outside the theatre and pretend their mine. It works.

Double ouch for the birdies - glad they didn't bust the glass. Bird shrapnel everywhere - ew.

That un-suction cup thing, yeah, always happens around 2 am here. That and the smoke alarm batteries giving out.

Never at 4 in the afternoon.

You have not been abandoned! There were a lot of issue with Blogger blogs last week if you used IE, mostly due to the "Follow Me" widget, which you don't seem to have so I'm stumped.

We saw "Up" (in 3-D). Can those Pixar guys not make a good film?

I'm dying to see Up. Love me some Diz/Pix too. You are my first review. Me = convinced. I need to see it. Guess I can be a nice mommy and take the kiddos. Should we go for the 3D version?

Wait, I think I've been here whenever I've been online, right??? Right??? Crap, I am so non-existent these days...

OK, thanks for the review of UP... we were debating. I'm getting ready to go with the kids now.

And now, I am SO waiting for your giveaway. Not that I ever win anything, but hey, I gotta keep tryin', right?

I'm hoping the boys and I can go see UP on Friday, which is our first day of summer vacation. I've heard lots of great things about it, and I'm looking forward to an animated movie I can stay awake for!

Blogger and Internet Explorer are having issues...but I think they are resolved now. Maybe.

I cannot wait to see UP. I want to see Night at the museum, too.

We had a robin beat himself against a window all spring thinking he was sparring with another bird. Sheesh.

I have cured the aborted error message by opening the internet with Firefox instead of Internet Exploreer or something tecnical like that. I have heard so many good things about Up. Can't wait to see it. So... are you driving to Vegas or flying? Cuz, ya know...we could go together if I can find the $$$

There was a few days last week that the error messages were running rampant. But I think it's just summer stuff....I know I haven't been blogging hardly at all for the last 3 weeks....too much yard work and crap! It seems I rarely have time to sit and blog. I guess it will actually give me something to look forward to when winter comes...at least there's an excuse to stay in the house on the computer!

The hawk fiasco must've been a little bit terrifying! And I think bloggy action is down everywhere. What's up with that?

Okay, I've gotta apologize for not stopping by sooner. But if you've been to my blog, which I don't think you have (ahem) you'd know that I'm completely addicted in a very insane way to Farm Town on Facebook. I'm sorry!!!!!!!!

Tis the season... summertime, that is. Everyone is just busy with outside activities, I think.

I was happy to read your review of UP. Even tho I'm a forty-something with no kids at home, I want to see it. I love the commercials, it looks so cute!

I'm having a giveaway right now at my blog if you'd like to visit... and I'm waiting for yours!! :)
